I said this before but it is the facts, Female treatment was the ONE thing Bridge Yugioh did better than the original Yugioh in Sevens but it is night and day between Sevens and Go rush. Sevens had Romin and Asana both very good duelists and good characters, WHO go rush have ? Yuamu who is supposed to be a part of the main trio and hailed as the better duelist than Yuuhi and yet she has NO BIG WIN, no characer development or enough character focus and her character even degrades since she no longer doesn't even have that clever girl who figures out everything thing anymore and she got brainwashed THIRD TIME to seal the deal, not even Gallop females get controlled this many times. She is supposed to be a part of the main characters and yet she doesn't even feel like it because she is completely and utterly overshadowed by Yuuhi in EVERY WAY. She had everything in place to be the best female character in all of Yugioh when this show started and yet all they do is wasting her which is especially annoying since her twin Yuuhi gets all the character developments, all the arcs and focus MULTIPLE TIMES meanwhile Yuamu is given nothing

And the rest is no better. Rovian who lost 3 times after her single victory, Yuna who had so much potential but dueled 2 FUCKIN TIMES in 73 EPISODE and lost the duel that she debuted her real deck in and got carded without mattering at all in the fifth arc (and Manabu didn't end up managing to do shit anyway so they wasted Yuna for nothing) Nyandestar who had a single duel to this point despite beating Manabu AND Asaka who in this episode ALSO gets brainwashed. Asaka was already never nowhere good enough like Asana and only won against Ranran and then they proceeded to make her an utter jobber by making her lose off screen last arc and now SHE is the one getting possessed instead of Kawai tell. It could have be great for Asaka if Kawai tell got brainwashed and she saved him but NO. And the rest are not even worth mentioning

Female treatment in Go rush is a joke compare to Sevens which is utterly terrible because that is the one thing this Yugioh had over the massively superior original Yugiohs

Lately, I feel like they've dropped the ball with Yudias too. Since S2 of Go Rush, his role felt diminished. He had less investment in the plot compared to the twins. And in this arc, they've made him seem dumber than usual (he's always been a bit goofy and naive, but lately it's felt jarring). Manabu also got made into a joke... Sevens looks like it'll remain as the peak Yu-gi-oh in terms of a well done overall cast.

Manabu being made into a joke is a big problem of mine as well. He was one of my favorites in the show but they ruined his character to make Zwijo look better in comparison and then decided that is not enough and kept making a joke out of him. Such a shame

Akiza, Alexsis and Aoi are all so much better despite ALL being wasted potentials since they at least HAD potential. Luna has barely any 1v1 win and is overshadowed by Leo, she had the most potential in the 3 you mentioned but still not as much as Akiza and she was wasted even more than Akiza.

I usually use the dub names for DM,GX and 5ds as I watched them as dub first both in my childhood and then rewatching them in the future for the first time (though I later watched the Japanese version for GX and 5Ds since their dub is unfinished) so the Dub names feel more right for me in those 3 shows

But for Zexal and after I first watched the Japanese version so I use the Japanese names which is why you can see I didn’t call Aoi, Skye

Ok don't argue. You are entitled to you wrong opinion. The only girl you mentioned here with a interesting personality and character arcs is Aoi.

Rebbecca was a child genius (Ruka and Rei for that matter were too, but that's beside the point) she learned valuable lessons demonstrated growth multiple times and though she had a very small role as a filler character she was more useful than Aki and Asuka put together. Rei was the only character I liked at all through the GX BS filler. She was always a student of the game and while her skills never caught up to the other characters "Because of the massive power creep in-between the seasons" I do value her more than some lame ass win-loss record who's only use is as a consolation for not being interesting as a character. Ruka is not my favorite but the best of the 3 girls mentioned by me. She has many character arcs, a caring personality, and even vulnerabilities that she's worked to overcome.

Aki was a no talent hack that required psychic powers
plot armor for 90% of the series to bail her out of trouble. Then decided to she wanted become a doctor randomly towards the end of the series. Negating the proxy rivalry they gave her to Sherry and preventing them from meaningfully clashing 1v1 for the entire series. Well at least the manga handled her better. Asuka's only defining characteristic was the fact that she wanted to find her brother, once that quest was completed she had no value, no defining arcs, and couldn't even fit as a decent rival to Judai. It says a lot when Manjumi was able to make the cut and not Asuka. Honestly her value is basically nil after her brother. Aoi is decent but not even safely in the top 10 YGO girls (Anna Koizumi is on her ass) I mean she was a main character with the perfect motivation, skill, and stakes to actually teach the boring Vrains MC a lesson and she never actually does. He could use it too, he just arrogantly moves forward in his plans regardless of consequence to others with no repercussions. Aoi was a huge waste of potential.

TLDR: Rebbecca, Ruka and Rei are the best YGO has to offer in terms of females and you can enjoy being wrong, because you're the only one made miserable by your incorrectness, and has to like their own comments.
